Senator Scott Wilk, R-Antelope Valley, recognized Antelope Valley’s Harley Davidson as the 21st Senate District Small Business of the Month. Senator Wilk presented owners Ron Emard and Scott Kellerman with a Senate certificate recognizing the honor. Surrounded by gorgeous motorcycles, employees, clients and other members of the local business community joined Scott, Ron, and their families to celebrate the achievement.
Each month Wilk selects a local business that offers outstanding service and has an exemplary commitment to the community. This month the honor goes to Harley Davidson of the Antelope Valley.
“Congratulations to Ron Emard, his wife Yvette, Scott Kellerman and his wife Laurie on being selected as the 21st Senate Districts’ Small Business of the Month for November,” said Wilk. “Your personal generosity as well as that of your business has made so many things possible here in the AV.”
Voted Antelope Valley’s Best for eighteen years in a row, Antelope Valley Harley Davidson is a great example a successful small business and its impact on a community. Starting out in a 3500 square foot facility the business grew to be housed in a facility six times the original size and employing 36 people. Small businesses like Antelope Valley Harley Davidson are the economic drivers of California’s economy. In fact, two out of three Californians are employed by a small business and almost 97 percent of all businesses in California have 49 or fewer employees.
“Small businesses and small business owners are the folks that sponsor our little league teams, help out at charity events and play an integral part of the fabric of our community,” concluded Wilk. “Thank you Antelope Valley Harley Davidson for your 30 plus years of service to our area and congratulations on being named the Small Business of the Month.”
